Course Description:
This course focuses on enhancing a student's knowledge and mastery in writing, reading, speaking, listening, and critical thinking. Students will learn and practice writing as a process of skills, strategies, and practices that allow them to develop a distinctive writing voice and to create, revise, and edit a variety of texts. The class will explore the various facets of the English language, such as analyzing sentence structures, rules of grammar, understanding texts, and learning how to think, speak, and write effectively. The class will focus on numerous skills, and students will be encouraged to think critically on a daily basis.
Classroom Expectations:
In addition to the school rules, the students are expected to:

2. Be on time. Students should be in their seat to begin class by the tardy bell.
3. Be prepared. Students should be ready when class begins with all materials everyday.
4. Respect everyone. All our words and actions should reflect a team attitude.
5. Do your best. Students should always put their best foot forward and try their hardest to accomplish their goals all the time.
